Golf Tip #7: The Stance

Golf as with other athletic endeavours requires good balance to play good shots.

Stand with your feet shoulder width apart and with your weight absolutely flat on your feet. Bend over slightly from your hips and unlock your knees.

Rock back and forwards onto your toes and your heels several times, sensing where the weight is on your feet. Then set yourself with your weight mainly on the front of your feet. You will now be in position to start your swing.

Turn up early for your next game and do some gentle stretches. Seeking advice from a qualified health professional before starting a program of balance and stretching would also make good sense.
