Golf Tip #20: Long Bunker Shots

When you are in a bunker and you are facing a shot to the pin of 100 metres, look at the top of the flag on the green.

Select a club that will allow the ball to fly that far. If you normally use a wedge to hit 100 metres off grass, then use a nine iron in the bunker.

Settle your feet into the sand, grip a little further down the club and work on a quiet lower body action in the swing.

Hit the ball first, then the sand. Make sure that you have a full follow through.
